Welcome to my beauty blog. I am by no means an expert but I do love makeup. I would love to become a makeup artist but unfortunately time and money get in the way and I need to keep my fulltime job. I am still learning and I am not the best but I love it anyway!
Today I decided to add a little color to my eyes. The weekends are the best because I can get creative with my makeup and not worry about how much time I spend on it. First and foremost, I put on my foundation. I am incredibly fair and I have to use the lightest shades out there. Right now I absolutely love Maybelline FitMe foundation. I am number 110 (porcelain). I follow it up with Makeup Forever full cover concealer which I am also the lightest color. I use the FitMe powder in 110 to set it all. I used the FitMe bronzer in light to add a little color to my translucent skin. My blush is Penny lane from Nars. It is a cream blush and I am loving the color right now! It is soft peach color. Lastly on the face I used Benefit High Bean to highlight my cheekbones.
The eyes were fun to do and I used a plethora of blues and purples. I was inspired by a video on YouTube from WinterRose84 this morning and I had to create my own look. First I used my 88 palette from Coastal Scents (colors below). I used a light blue followed by one of my favorite Mac colors Prussian on the lid. I used a bright purple in my crease and blended the colors together. I had a lighter purple from Rimmel along the inner corner and added just a touch more of the blue. I used Mac Bisque and Vanilla to highlight and smooth out the edges. For my eyeliner, I used Maybelline’s Eye Studio gel liner in eggplant and over it a darker purple from Rimmel. I lined the lower rim with blue from Nyx and then went over it with Mac Prussian on the outer corner followed by the darker purple in the middle meeting the light purple at the inner corner. Lastly I curled my lashes and L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara in blackest black.
I kept the lips simple with Paris from Nyx followed by a light purple lip-gloss from Korres.
