Today I am bringing you two different makeup looks. I am trying to get back into the habit of writing but it is so hard to get started again. So hopefully this will be enough to appease you for the time being.
Here is the first look.
My “normal” foundation for the time being is Clinque Even Better in Linen (24) mixed with L’Oreal True Match foundation in Porcelain (W1). I have to move past this part quickly because I may just start to rant and it will not be pretty. I will leave that for another day. I used my go to concealer which is the Make Up Forever full cover concealer in number one. This is my Holy Grail concealer. I have yet to find anything that covers as great as this concealer. Under my eyes I used the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer in the lightest color (the name escapes me). I used a light translucent powder to set my foundation. On the cheeks I believed a used Nars Doucer and then used MAC By Candlelight to highlight. I am so sad they discontinued By Candlelight. I keep hoping it will come back out in a new collection soon.
The fun part is definitely the eyes! I primed my eyes using my MAC painterly paint pot. I started off using Sushi flower by MAC (check out my previous post to see the colors of all MAC shadows). I put this all over the lid but concentrated most of the color towards the middle of the lid. In my crease, I used MAC Cranberry. I blended this with sushi flower. This really helped because sushi flower can be a VERY bright color and the cranberry helps warm it up. In the outer corner, I very lightly dusted MAC Shadowy lady. I also made sure to add all three colors on my lower lash line. In the inner corner and as the highlight, I used Maybelline’s Linen eye shadow. I used my new favorite eyeliner on my upper and lower lash line. It is the NYX glide on eye pencil in brown perfection. On the upper lash line I lightly patted on MAC Mystery over the brown pencil. I used Benefit They’re Real mascara in black to finish off the look.
Last but not least I used NYX lipstick in Paris mixed with MAC Nymphette. I may have used another color as well but it was a couple of days ago and really cannot recall but I did set my all my make up with MAC Fix +.
This next makeup look is a low key and appropriate for work. I try not to bring in too many colors for work especially when some of it does fade before it is time to go home.
I used the same foundation routine as the previous look except I used a MAC blush in Dame. Dame is a really soft pink color and goes well with fair skin. My only complaint is the color pay off. It is not very pigmented and I feel like I am constantly adding more. You can tell in the pictures that I kept adding but I swear by the time I got work, you could barely tell there was even a flush to my skin.
I primed my eyes with MAC painterly paint pot. The first color I used was MAC All that Glitters. I used this all over the eye lid and slightly into the crease. I brought it down onto my lower lash line as well. In my crease, I used one of my favorite MAC eye shadows. Copperplate is a beautiful gray brown shadow. It doesn’t look like much in the pan but looks amazing on the eye. I lightly added this to my crease and added just a hint on my lower lash line. In the inner corner, highlight and to clean the edges I used linen by Maybelline. Once again, I used my favorite eyeliner and shadow combination for my upper and lower lash line. A little bit of Maybelline’s one by one mascara in very black finished the eye look off. Since my eyes were fairly natural, I did use MAC Crosswires lipstick to add some color to the overall look (check out my lipstick collection to see the color). Once I was at work, I did add a little gloss.
I hope you enjoyed the looks today. The pictures are not great but the natural look was from this morning and it was only 4:45 am and I was not awake enough to be engaged.
Stay beautiful and don’t forget your lip-gloss!
Wow make really help you look nice and beautiful...
